Acetabular fractures in dogs or cats often result in degenerative joint disease (secondary arthrosis), and optimal repair reduces the severity and consequences of this condition. The C-shaped plate closely matches the shape of the acetabulum eliminating the need for contouring.

The fixed direction of the plate holes directs the screws away from the articular surface​. It allows using the normal access of a Hip Replacement Surgery.
